Postby JohnBoy_DIY on Sun Nov 26, 2006 7:00 pm

Ok first off I know I am going to get an earful for this but any help would be good.

I didn’t tell my insurance company that i had my licence revoked under the new drivers act thing. i have it back now but i was hit by someone. (There fault) and now i don’t wana clam as it my insurance could be void? but the people who hit me want to clam. i have managed to talk them out of it but will require me paying out 4 there repairs. Is this the right thing to do?

if it is not your fualt then your insurance do not need to know.
As you will be claiming off there insurance not your own.

Exactly what sort of advise do you want! You have knowingly obtained insurance fraudulently so as to get it cheaper. Typically, you have had an accident and now your stupidity is finally hitting home. But to add insult injury you have felt the need to discuss your activities on a public forum!

Good work!
Those that can, do; and those that can't, talk about it.

If they have hit you then its there fault so you claim from there insurance.

Dont take this the wrong way but its people like you that make our insurance high, but no telling your insurance about havin your licence revolked.

and like ollybee said its now coming back to hit you, this is why its not worth messing with insurance.

Hope you get it all sorted, but i also hope you have learnt some think to.As i bet its scared you in thinking your not gonna have insurance.

they know they have you over a barrel and can ake you pay for their repairs even tho it was their fault! if i were the other party i would claim anyways and to hell with the other person if they had not 100% insurance and then let the polce deal with it and also then go throught the uninsured driver scheam and take you to the small claims court just to add salt to the wounds!

you realise that by not declairing everything that you have paid that insurance for nothing and if anything were to happen (such as now) they can and often do ask to see a copy of your driving license and can search any record they wish, leaving you with a big bill to pay and also being done for driving with no insurance by the police!
