How long is a piece of string?

It depends on your postcode, the insurance company, the particulars of the modifications done to the car, how long you've had your license, whether you've had any accidents/claims/convictions, etc etc etc.

Just phone up a company like Adrian Flux or HIC and actually get a quote. That's the only way to know for sure.

Oh, and wrong forum, by the way.
My name is Alex. I used to have a Capri. I don't anymore. But I'm still called Capri.

Ring around some companies is the best thing to do.

Will do! Going to give HIC a ring tonight as I know a few people form The fiesta-si forums who have had good quotes with them for 2ltr mondy conversions. Ah yes it might just be better suited for the ICE / INSURANCE forums. Doh!

Capri :Adrian Flux

Have always sorted mine and friend's modded fiestas out. Although it is a completely different scenario, Flux wanted an extra £107 from me to cover the Si once it had been 2.0l'd.

Is that it? An extra 105 quid to go from 1.6 to 2tr? :-?

Yep. I was a little older however at the time had nine points.

I think the general consensus is because the engine is out of an insurance group nine car so the insurance dont see it as much of a jump. Hence why it is cheaper to insure a 2.0l'd Si rather than an RS1800.

My insurance only did a similar price jump, but due to your age alot of companies may decline to insure you as its an engine upgrade.

Saying that though. As the engine is from a relatively low insurance rep mobile the insurance premium may surprise you
