Insurance question :)

Postby Baxta on Mon Nov 03, 2008 5:31 pm

Hi guys, im wanting to get back into the fiesta scene, and have £3000 to spend.
Im 18 and this will be my first car, and my ideal car would be a zetec s, but im wondering if this will be a bit harsh on insurance ??
How much do you reckon itl cost ?

Thanks for the help :)

Best thing to do mate is to ring insurance companies or go on their websites and get some quotes.

Hope that helps :)

Don't think Zetec S are that harsh on Insurance to be honest mate, i know a lot of people who have had them as first cars. :D

Insurance is odd sometimes. as car are cheaper for some people, while for other they are expensive.

As above start shopping around for quotes, take the best one but be sure to read the small print :)

Fiesta Zetec S is not too bad on insurance, Its insurance group 8 (and the 1.6 ghia is group 9).

A word of information. The car will get cheaper on road tax if you buy one before march 2001 then after march 2001 after the new road tax bands come into effect. The prices are as follows...

Current road tax (12 months)
pre 2001 £185
post 2001 £170

From april 2009
pre'01 - £185
post'01 - £205

From april 2010
pre'01 - £200
post'01 - £210

Go onto the zsoc forum. Personally I think imperial blue is the best colour. It looks gorgeous when polished up with the wheels. I might think about buying one as my next car aswell dude
