Insurance Woes!

Just managed to get hold of another xr2i, however i'm getting either no quotes or high quotes. This would be my second car i drive but still!

Im 20, with 1years ncb, 1.5yrs license held

Adrien Flux - £1800
Quinn Direct - £1300

Group 14, this is why the XR2i was fazed out in favour of the Si. Which incidentally you can insure with a 2.0 engine for cheaper than and XR.

try limiting your mileage, fitting an alarm, put it in a garage, 3PFT etc.

also call around as many companies as you can, there's a stickied post in this forum with loads of companies you can try.

you might also find that because your other car is pretty new, places like Flux etc probably won't be able to give you a competitive quote for both cars on one policy as they specialise in the older cars. I was with HIC when I had my 2i, and insurance was £650 - then I sold it and bought a brand new car. When I called them, my quote went up to just over £2000!
