IS an ERST intercooler the same as a FRST?
Am in desperate need of an uprated Pace intercooler for my FRST. Can only find an ERST one. I've got a T3 conversion, but can't figure out if they're the same size/shape?
Anyone help?
Cheers.

Yes mate the pace ones were the same maybe a slight difference but you shouldn't have a problem really.

They are not the same and some jiggery pokery is required to fit them up. To be honest though don't bother as they are rubbish and barely an improvement over the standard item. I really regret fitting mine now and will be E-baying it as soon as a replacement is sorted
Never argue with an idiot. They'll drag you down to their level and beat you with experience

The intercooler is a double capacity Pace item for an Escort RS Turbo.
Main differences I noticed were while accelerating in 3rd and 4th when the air charge temps soon climbed over 40ºC and didn't take too much longer to climb over 70ºC. Once the throttle is lifted though the temps don't tak too long to drop back to acceptable levels.
I'm tempted to try one of these Airtec items as they are a bit of a bargain basement bit of kit. Worst case scenario it too is pants and I end up E-baying that as well

i have a pace fitted to may FRST and it is better than the std one, ive not had problems with it.
well apart from the hassle of hoses, cos the rads moved back it kinks the top rad hose a bit, hence why i trimmed it right up, and had the top boost hosemade higher to stopit rubbing the rad hose, apart from that, no problems my end
