:-? Whats with the big slagging off of 1.1's? :-?
Sure they ain't fast by any standard but my CFI has pretty good pull for an 1100 and if you learn to drive it well you can suprise most 1.2 corsas and 5h1t like that, if it's just you in the car.
If you give the engine about 6 - 8 miles to properly warm up it the revs rise a lot easier and you can ave a bit of cheap fun. (I dont know any other car that'll get me to work for 10p a mile in petrol and be as roomy inside as a fezzy, and dont give me no bull about driving a 2i "economicaly" cos we all know that only happens when your running out of fuel in the middle of nowhere!)

It'll be more fun when i gets me an ERST engine in it though
( 1.8 and a T3, he he! )
It aint easy, Living free....

I can't say the difference between the 1.1 and 1.3 is that noticable. The 1.1 was a carb though, so seemed to have a little more poke than the CFi version which ran like a dog. The 1.3 seemed a little quicker, but if you stuck someone in an unbadged one I doubt they could tell if it was a 1.1 or a 1.3 by just driving it!

Still, they are both rattly slow engines, that sound as bad as when they came from Ford new, but they seem to last.
