its petrol cap time!! yipeee! (down the page)
hi all, had my car hit up the arse in november while sitting at red traffic lights by some old duffer. not happy at all... old c*** thought it would be better for him to watch whats coming from behind rather than steer his friggin car past mine and he just drove into me after he got into the wrong lane
anyway, after coming to grips with a accident free 10 odd years of FRST motoring i was really hacked off with it. rear panel was bent, bumper damaged, interest dwindelling i decided while it was at the paint shop being repaired id have some refreshment work done. so, got them to do the roof, prep and paint a second hand bootlid and paint all down the drivers side. im hard pushed for time to do the petrol cap area ATM but WILL BE DONE
anyway, FRST pics first. pics of accident damage are crap as it was all behind the bumper anyway.
decided to rid the car of the rear spoiler. got a s/h bootlid (mk3.5) as the old one was a real rusty mess after 10 years of water ingress and was only fit for the bin
sorta looks like this now (in the dark lol)
anyhoo, sod all that here's some cars that are much more intersting
awesome sunbeam stilleto
another awesome car,pro street husky

5.3L quad cam v8 with quad webber 45 down draughts

Some nice cars there, the Aston Martin wheels on the MGB are a great addition, had to do a double take there as they almost look like the originals, just a bit bigger

hey all!
Mark, im always around but just dont post much as ive never got anything to say about my FRST. had it for soo long that to me its almost just a car. well it is in reality but since ive had a bit of paintwork done i am absolutly amazed how much more attention it gets i'll get some more pics up when i sort out the nearside rear quater as i want to replace the rear wing . area around the petrol cap is now buggered and i cant hold it back with local reapirs anymore so gonna rip open the car im looking foward to it
i love my 100e so fitted this-
1.8 zvh on FRST ofac managment standard 7 psi boost (atm) goes really well, could always be better

Re: its petrol cap time!! yipeee! (down the page)
got sick of looking at rust. could not find a bloody rear 1/4 so had to do this instead had to even resort to a mk4 outer wheel arch.. where have all the mk3 body panels gone!??!??
nice strut top though (thankfully! )
not the worst ive ever seen though considering its done over 140,000 miles and used every day
little work on the sill end needed.
outer mocked up
inner welded into place
rest tommorrow!!!

Re: its petrol cap time!! yipeee! (down the page)
repair to inner fuel cap area with outer mocked up
rottern around the towing eye hole so cut it out-
made a new bit and welded it into place-
then with petrol cap outer welded into place
just primed up till 28th March ready for the paintshop to do thier thing
then the bonnet.... wanted to lift the whole center of the bonnet by 3/4 of an inch but this would have buckled it to buggery with the heat so made up and welded into place a small hump as i dont want to keep repairing the bonnet if the charge carrier hits it!
thats it for now till i get it back from the paint shop!!
the engine block is down the machine shop having a rebore and im buying steel rods and forged pistons for it

brillaint effort mate
the bonnet bulge is a bit controversial though, maybe should have done two in symmetry to even it out

Nice one mate
Not sure about the bonnet bulge, will have to see how it looks when sprayed up
