I know what you mean mate!!!

I am seriously considering doin an frst swap on mine now!!

Al - so my loom should have the plug for EFi fuel pump and i only need the bit of the loom in the enine bay??

Wouldnt it be better to do the whole loom though?

Mine didnt have loom XRSI Alex made one as we couldnt be arsed to swap whole loom over cut and splice is the way (hey it works)
A few relays are required ! Beeman Alexs shopping list is good but having converted my 1.1 there are a few extras !

GET THE TURBO FUEL RETURN LINE its got a wider diameter than non efi lines !

You will need a Turbo fuel pump (i have one spare if u want it) wiring loom for engine bay ! ECU to match wiring loom and matching map sensor Ie OFAC or OFAB (there wer just 2 types but they dont mix and match !

Exhaust and downpipe you will need !

Lower crossmember and anti roll bar on front at least ! Rear anti roll bar also helps and you dont need a new rear beam if you look how its fitted carfully and ure good with a drill

Suspension has to be uprated as i found ans do brakes ! my 1.1 gear wasnt upto it !

STARTER MOTOR ! get the right one lol saves you lots of heart ache !

Trips to halfords should include ! (i didnt budget for this)

Gearbox oil EP80
3 litres should do it ! (its expensive stuf)
8 litres of engine oil and 2 oil filters !
flush engine out after arround 100 miles to get crap out !
Lots of cable ties ! all sizes
Fuel filter
High pressure fuel hosing
lots of jubilee clips
firegum and exhaust clamps
new exhaust hangers

ummm im sure theres loads more but it escapes me ! lol

If u think its gonna b buy the engine put it in like i did u are well fooled ! make sure u have enough cash to buy the engine twice is what i rekon ! lol it will save a lot of hassle !

So basically it's not that hard - seeing as we were able to do the conversion to 1.6 - swapping all the engine mounts, alt, etc!

Al mate, old pal

Did i miss something.......do frst not have intercoolers.....and a smaller radiator, so the intercooler can fit in.
Project, that dont say much about the 1.6 turbo conversion....or is i blind :???: .
