:-? the haynes manual says i have, but im not sure, and as i havent got the car yet, untill the 24th june, ive got no way of checking, so i thought id ask on here

Yep you will have, in the parcel shelf supports. 4" diameter, horrible paper coned things, change em immediately :)

very easy, 2 screws.... if you want to put aftermarket ones in you will need the plastic brackets from eBay.
I took them out and gave them to Paul, he was well chuffed :wink:

My ford head unit does have the 8 wires out the back fr fl rr rl each having a positive and negative but then there is a yellow ford plug taking it down to just the front channels!!

if your changing the head unit, and your car has a little lever type thing ( under the steering coloum, by the choke) then you may hav to rewire your speakers, as car sterio headunits and speakers are meant to run at 4 - 8 Ohms, that directional lever, if moved with an aftermarket sterio on it made the speakers run at over 100 Ohms, blew the amp in the back of the sterio.

to rewire, just get yourself some speaker wire (quite thick), and run it direct from your speakers and wire it to the block that goes into the back of the sterio. to wire then, solder them then heatshrink them, or use wire connectors, quite easy.

put some 6x9's in ur rear shelf, if ya dnt wanna get some that fit where the old ones were that are more powerful, ( my standard speakers, when i took then out they fell apart :lol: )
