Juddering a bit......

Juddering a bit......

Postby xjtaggedx on Tue May 06, 2014 12:36 pm

Get straight in to it.

I had an oil change on my frst and I have just noticed my car is Juddering at low speed low revs. Not a lot but you can real it, not a constant flow, not smooth. It's not a massive issue and may have been like that before the oil change but just didn't notice but I would still like to know what it could be if anyone has any ideas thank you.

Is it only when using the clutch? So say you crawl down the road, foot off the clutch, in second gear, at say 10mph, do you notice it then? Or is it only when you change up or down, or pulling away?

Could be a bit of oil on the clutch, unlikely to be from the change, though... Have you noticed any dripping from the bottom of the engine/gearbox join?

Or it could just be the clutch has got a bit hot and the pressure plate/flywheel surfaces have got a little out of shape. Probably best to replace if that's the case.

Mine did it once because of a badly machined flywheel!

Yes sir I have multiple issues at the moment. My turbo is smoking and causing a lot of smoke/oil leaks. I think you are spot on about the clutch leaking or warping. I have needed a new clutchfor a while nnow so I will make that my next purchase after the turbo is sorted. Could you please advise me on what I should buy clutch wise as I do not want a paddle clutch nor do I want to do a peddle conversion. Just need a clutch that can take 195bhp. Thank you so much for your help.
