Just a couple pics of my ikle project

Postby JayC on Thu Jul 13, 2006 11:48 pm

Ive been floating around on here for about 3 years now, but i havent posted to much, i know where the search button is :D

ive contributed here and there on small things, but i normaly reside over at ford-force.co.uk i know a few you are members to so youve already seen this :P

The car (3door 1994 Si) was baught as a non runner for £62 pounds, with 130,285 miles on the clock.
The chassis is immaculate and well worth the work, ive only found 1 inch x inch weld patch on the floor.

The exterior is looking rather bleak with a poorly rear arch and dings, and a s**t colour.
The interior of the car was absolutly vile and ruined.

It will be getting the outside sorted, The interior is now immaculate, Every inch has been cleaned and it now sports a 100% mint Si interior and MK4 dials.

i will be tastfully styling it with a kit ive had in my possesion for a long time now, along with some handling extras, adjustable TCAs and maybe
coilovers will be fitted but not for a while yet.. thats why im being breif about everything above, but handling, tuning and roadworthyness will come before fanny styling.

anyways, heres a breif of what ive done, i have no pics of the car to show yet but they will come in time.

The engine is a Second Edition Silvertop Zetec E 2000cc, The build is 1996 but the car was 1997, still under Ford service when the Automatic Gearbox failed, at 44738 miles when removed from the car, it has under 0.0030" of endfloat on the crankshaft so im thinking its in pretty good nick.

Heres it cleaned up, everything is tightend down on the manifold and intermediate, but im keeping them dummy fitted until i come to fit the sump as ill have to turn it around.

im just aiming to get a sterile end result. everything gets cleaned, renewed or something else. the engine bay will get the same treatment.

its not gonna be crazy power, but itll be a nice motor with enought grunt and itll still be an si in all ways.

ive been more detailed on my fordforce thread, but i wont spam it here.
