just got hold of an xr2i wich at the moment is currently stripped out for racing and would like any advice on how to bring it bak to looking good and peforming well.

any advice on getting the most from the engine and handling without spending £££££££ loads of it and how to tart up the interior ive got a upholstermate ut was wondering [ERRR] sort of materials to use for seating, carpets, dash etc

any advice would be greatly appreciated

to get handling well, polybush the front, get a mk 5 zetec s rear beam, and fit lowered and uprated shocks,
to get it to go well, rip out the 1.8, and fit a 2.0 mondeo engine, virtually a straight swap with yours. will give you 130 bhp straight out the box, with a nice dollop of extra torque.

As for the interior i have no idea, i prefer the stripped look 8)
