I have a 1.1i cfi, and I think the mk2 xr2 post 86 bolt on filter fits all cfi units, is this true as i want to order one ? Also is this likely to affect performance too much and give a nice sound, are they much better than the replacement elements ?

It is true the XR2 one is exactly the same as the one you need for your engine, and it makes a great noise, performance wont take a massive increase but you might notice your throttle response is a bit better due to the extra air being taking into the engine.

Depends a few peeps have them for sale on here for £20 which is how much I paid for mine off here, to buy them new though your looking at £35 - £55 pounds depending on who you go with, but I think the latter price of £50 is gonna be the more likely price for one!
