K&N Filter for 1.6s

Postby Stoned on Mon Dec 30, 2002 6:19 pm

Hi all

This sounds the easiest mod to do so I thought I would give it a go.

Which K&N filter do I need and where is the cheapest place to get them from (online).

Also if anyone knows of a guide to fit these it would be helpful.

Ah OK

Right. Fiesta 1.6s CVH (Old XR2 Engine). H reg (1990)

Not sure exactly what I need but looking back through the tech section here everyone seems to recommend them so I thought I'd get in on the action :-)

Hmm. They are asking hard questions now :/

You can however use a Bolt On unit which replaces the airbox.
We list 2 possible bolt on units:

1.1 1984-89 Ford VV 56-9038 £47.38 with postage

1.1 Kat 1987-89 Weber TLD 56-9042 £63.36 with postage.

The difference being the carb type. These are both special order from K&N with a lead time of 7-14 days

Any ideas?

Both seem quite steep for an air filter.
