nice mate.
only thing is, the doors now look out of place being wite on the inside, they should be painted black to match the rest of the inside of the car imo

Don't worry mate, the doors will be painted satin black inside,
We all realised the mistake after they were painted
Carbon door covers will probably find their way in as well

I'm not 100% sure I'll fit carbon door cards though
They don't cover the whole of the inside of the door, so those bits need painting anyway

Re: K18 UFO, Kit back on
Cheers for the comments guys,
its coming together nicely and for once ahead of plan
Ross, yeah good to catch up with you fella, I'll let you know when its worth popping up again
Jay, car is staying graphic free mate
And if I'm not 100% happy with the bare carbon panels I might get them painted Frozen White as well
Right, today saw the kit refitted, thats basically it for the bodyshop atm, so the car is coming home at the weekend where I will attempt to make sense of the old wiring loom and start to remove all the unwanted bits of it, The loom will be hidden as much as possible, the main reason really for the bolt on wings.

Re: K18 UFO, Kit back on
Cheers for all your comments guys,
Car is coming home on Friday afternoon
I went around today and they have made an excellant job of re-fitting the kit,
I just need to drill some fresh holes in the bottom of the sills now to attach the skirts on,
They have done it so I can remove the front wings (with kit)
I took my CVH EFI flywheel down to my engine builer last Saturday so I can now start to chase him on when the engine will be ready (I did drop it off to him in January )
Dash will also be sent away within the next week or so for flocking.

Hi Paul, Hopefully Castle Combe Action Day next April, then Central Day.
Might even get a shackdown trackday in before then, just to see how she goes

Its considerably lighter than a Zetec one to start with fella.
Luke, na, It won't be done for Feb mate, I'll be surprised if its actually running next year
Probably if it does all go to plan a mid week track day at Combe in March time with an open pit would be ideal.
Car is now coming home next Friday.

I've sorted my poverty spec loom now,
Tomorrow will see me strip the unwanted wires from that which includes fuel pump & heater wires.
Work has slowed due to my workload atm and the weather of course
I'm still hoping for the engine to be in for Christmas.
If its dry tomorrow I'll roll it out of the garage and take a few pictures with my new wheels on

Re: K18 UFO, Kit back on
Sorry for the lack of updates guys,
Due to the bad weather the car is still tucked under its cover in the garage
But, I have a small progress report,
Willwood 4 pots have arrived
Dash and steering column surrounds have been dropped off for flocking (pictures next weekend when collected)
New coilover springs are here 350lbs front/ 450 lbs rear
Just need some decent weather now
