The paint work will be sorted, and the underside will be rust treated before next Winter.

But not painted like on JNE, I'm not doing all that again :bonkers: :bonkers:

I'm closing in on some polycarbonate for the windows atm as well.

Yeah & I bet when you had all them wheels with the previous rs1800 you said "I don't really need anymore wheels"

Heck, you could put it next to my runabout & then try & tell people you don't lavish it with premium cleaning products - I saw you buffing up the strut tops :bonkers:

P4P were the lot i used first time for polycarb windows, the order took ages but eventually turned up, second time around they never delivered so after numerpus failed promises I ended up cancelling and ordered mine from Raceplastics IIRC, they were cheaper as well.

I'm cutting my own out Paul, cheaper still

Small update, car is up in the air.........again

My annoying "clunk" noise has been diagnosed as 2 broken engine mounts :o

Ordering them up Monday, just genuine Ford atm, as its only standard power.

Unless somebody has a pair of cheap uprated ones they don't want :oooh:

Welding is half done just drivers floor to sort on Monday.

Then floor plates for cage will be welded in place, cage now being painted anthracite to match wheels which are being done as well next week.

Pictures tomorrow, of progress

I would go vibratechnics mate... so then when you up the power or change engine there last and keep the engine and box in a nice firm postion.

Its like a firm pair of breasts pert and tight for ease of manouvability or little bit saggy and there dent ya bonnet or take ya eye out...

I've found a site which supplies polycarbonate in sheets, how much have you ordered? Might do some calcs to see if its cheaper to DIY

you taken the spare wheel and tray out yet? if so lob the brackets that they clip into off also and lose the hook, bit more weight saved there.
im guessing the back panel is going to be getting the hole cutting treatment too soon

Well I tried to keep the strength in it. I asked an MOT tester before starting,

would of hated to have to weld all those back in if it would of failed its next MOT :bonkers:

Rear panel will be treated to the same, and inner door skins, also hatch until a lightweight one is fitted

So with the polycarb/ interior paint being done next weekend,

I will be all set for the carbon roof

I cut the middle out after the pictures were taken :D

didn't want to give it all away what I did

Also cut various "triangles" out of the front panel as well, should be a few more kgs gone :Q
I'm also going to dump the washer bottle for one alot smaller,

plus lots of other plans to make me a "lightweight legend"

I do have a single wiper conversion but not sure about that atm.
