Massive improvement on the inside mate
I don't think i've ever know a project go to plan with the speed you are working. Did you have this set out on a project management plan first
Great update

Speak to you in the week then Shaun What brakes do you have on there, if 13s are going on? I found my XR2i brakes with grooved discs worked very well, but on track would probably prefer the power afforded by a Cosworth set-up. What say you?

Good work mate, looks stunning inside now with a fresh coat of paint.
You have been busy the past week its gone from your average rs1800 into a cult phenomenon.
2weekends then mate and come down and we can sort these plastic roofs

Re: My RS1800, Inside painted. cage in !!
Thanks for all your comments guys
James, I've fitted standard Red Dot discs and mintex extreme pads,
I have a had similar sets ups in the past with excellant results and no fade.
When the power goes up I will probably have to upgrade
as for a plan of action, this is the 3rd track car I have now done, so its kinda getting easier
This one is deffo for keeps.
After the roof has been fitted the exterior paintwork will be given some attention,
Its not to bad but both rear panels could do with a respray and there is a scratch on the n/s wing.

Re: My RS1800, Cage bolted in and complete.
Ok, so today I have finished bolting the cage in
What a pig of a job again !!!
Anyway its done now and never coming out again
Also took the rear spoiler off, I have replaced it now but it will be removed on track days
Also took the armrests, door pockets, speakers, central locking off the doors.
Didn't have time to do the polycarb but it will be done later in the week, I'm going to dump the electric front windows and put sliders in, got to order them up later in the week.
I have a private plate on its way, all will be revealed soon
Wheels have been swapped back, taking the Super T's to be powder coated tomorrow.
So thats it for a few days, hopefully I will have my GAZ coilovers for the weekend and they will be put on.
That is all for now

Re: My RS1800, Cage bolted in and complete.
That looks really smart!
Bet it was a tricky decision whether or not to put the floor mats in. Compromise between it being light or staying clean!
The only thing i dont like is that the red harness looks a little out of place. Black/dark grey would look spot on

Thanks guys
I havn't started to lighten the dash yet people
Chris, stick on plates are a very good idea and one which I will be using
Bakewell, yeah harnesses are a bit out of place but they were in the deal with the seats,
Henry has the exact same ones in blue, I'm going to ask him nicely if he fancies a swap
Mats will again be out on track days

I was about to mention about that hoooooge dash you have there. You don't need half of that. Get the Jig-saw out man!
I'm liking the idea of the sticky on number plate. Who does these then, any links to suppliers?

The problem with sticker plates is that they're not reflective (or at least i don't think they are) and so they are no good for on the road, plus on track you dont need plates anyway, so you might as well remove them alltogether for "uber lightweightness"
