for what little the liner weigh you may as well leave them in mate, you can lose more than what they are in other areas

Good price.

I've seen and looked after a few Fiestas without Liners, 16v & Turbos over the years. None ever saw any problems from it. :)

Postby Turboboy67 on Sat Mar 08, 2008 6:29 pm

Your making me fell slightly guilty guys .................not :P

Fitted the coilovers today, :aviator:

also fitted my track wheels to see how she will sit, in a word, low

Front can still come down 20mm & rear about 30mm

but I wasn't that brave and might not of got it out of my parents drive if I had dumped it any lower :o

Image

From ground to arch lip its 525mm on the rear front is atm 530mm :Q :Q

When I set them up the rears were 10mm higher but after a small test drive they settled down , front didn't move, but I will lower front another 10mm for my first track day.

But omg, is it a hard ride, mind you its all set up on the hardest settings, love it

Image

Image

So tomorrow I'm mopping the paint,

not even polished it since I've owned it so it due a bit of a pamper. :Q :Q

Results tomorrow evening

I say the rear is fine matey, but the front could do with coming down relative to the back end I would think. It'd be good to have a play, even if you only make one height adjustment, during the Combe sessions, to see what works best :) Looks great on those wheels! 8)

Cheers for the comments guys,

ads, Got to fit my small battery, replace cam-belt, tensioners, water pump, lower arms,

lighten the front bumper, dash, rear bumper, rear panel more, and yeah do the front windows :D

James, I'm gonna lower the front by another 10mm tomorrow,
as I say it was intially set up 5mm lower than the rears, after they settled it was 5mm higher

But when I fit my Super T's back on for road use,
I'm sure I will need to raise it by at least 20mm.

Just checking, since you said it could come a further 20mm down on the front and 30mm on the rear ;) I know you like it all at the rear if possible! :o

Looks good, i do like those wheels, the only problem i had with them on mine was they allow too much body roll on track with the large sidewall, they do look mighty fine though :Q

Either the back will be raised or preferably the front will be dumped further :)

I have a crafty plan which will eliminate the need to guess the ride heights on the various wheels combos the car will be running.

Once I 'm happy with each set up I measure and record the distance between the spring height adjuster and the base of the strut, This will ensure that I don't spend hours jacking the car up and down

If you're REALLY serious about cutting down the weight you should ditch the bumpers and bodykit all-together :P :D

They are Yokohama 032-r fella 185/60/13 :)

The tyre walls are tougher than normal they had a job to get them on the rims :o

Profiles looks huge though :o

Bodykit doesn't weight much, bumpers will be lightened further.

Lots still to do, I am going as fast as I can guys :bonkers:
