Nice weave. I'd personally paint the central, underlying part of the roof black, make it look slightly more OE.

Re: My RS1800 Track car, Morettes fitted
Should get my money back pretty quickly looking at the cost of the book
So picked up my 2.0 from the For-Tune peeps this afternoon, then went on to Mixon's house and picked up a dash (I have plans for that )
My self imposed wheel buying ban is over
4x Xr2i alloys and tyres for £16 from good old e-bay,
keeping the set of road tyres on these just incase I wake up on a track day morning
and its raining
No more progress until the weekend now guys, I'm to busy at work for a couple of days

Excellent Jay
So you think you can make use of the dash then, saves me having to get rid of it somewhere
Think i've sorted my leak, hoping it was just a dodgy jubilee clip. Will see if there is a puddle in the morning

Cheers guys
Henry, None of us really know what will happen to them, we just hope they will be ok
They do look so much better seeing them, pictures really don't do them justice tbh
Hopefully I will have my bonnet on as well for FITP

The roof looks really cool. But me being negative as always thinks after a while of being chucked around a track you may find cracks apearing ....
Shawn.... i want to see you take the front fog's glass out and mesh it. Slap a oil cooler behind one

i reckon a nice large hole eaither side of that number plate to aid cooling and reduce weight would be good

Thats what i was planning to do with my 2i before i sold it, oil cooler one side, and number plate the other side, where the fogs would be. Then cut holes where the number plate used to be

Re: My RS1800 Track car, Morettes fitted
Come up with something I havn't thought of already please guys
Lights will be removed for track days, oil cooler will be in when the engine swap happens
I really can't see the roof cracking, the main strength of the roof from the factory remains,
its not rivoted or bolted on so it does have a certain amount of flex,
but as I have said before, this is the first one to be done so nobody knows
for sure what will happen

Re: My RS1800 Track car, Morettes fitted
Been busy today again guys
Omex rev limiter with launch control fitted, not had a chance to have a play with it yet
Race size battery fitted
Smoked front indicators fitted
Alloy trumpets for inner Morette holes fitted.
Just got to do the rear polybushes now ready for Combe next Saturday
nice big gap now where old battery use to be, needs a lick of paint now
So saved another 13kg by removing the old battery and tray

Pictures of the roof are quite hard to take fella,
I'm sure there will be pictures of it a Combe next week that will get posted
Smoked lenses are not a great deal darker than the ones I had on there tbh.
trumpets look good though
