I'm creeping closer and closer to the magic sub 800kg mate
Did 8 sessions in total, I was alot quicker on my own though ,
passengers do show up the lack of power tbh, but I enjoy taking them round,
hope you enjoyed your few laps mate.
Got to post this pic in my thread, thanks to Mixon for taking it
We were well matched in the corners, but he blasted past me on the start/finish straight

Re: My RS1800 Track car. Carbon Fibre Sparcos. Pictures !!
It started out on a budget but now, I don't care really
I know where I'm going with it so not to bothered what it costs now tbh
I think I have spent around £4.5k on it, but that includes bits that have not been fitted yet,
i.e. CTS stage2+ gearbox, 2.0 silver top Zetec, throttle bodies/management, brand new carbon bonnet
Pro alloy fuel cell & adjustable lower arms which will all be done from this coming October,
other bits still to be bought will include braided fuel and brake lines, intercom
And the very final bit will be a freah coat of paint

Cheers guys,
Everybody is welcome to a passenger ride,
make your way down to Castle Combe in September.
Yeah well chuffed with the seats Matt thanks,
need to make a better subframe for them as they are abit to far forward,
but I'm copying Lukes idea to mount them,
will be sorted for Ford Fair

Re: My RS1800 Track car. Carbon Fibre Sparcos. Pictures !!
Indeed fella, I got lots of plans for further weight saving over the coming months
Quick update then,
Brand new carbon fibre bonnet has been ordered
Sorry but my existing one is NOT for sale
Just finalising a deal to buy some very tasty Leda suspension
Engine is being sent off with the head next week for some "work"
Got my R888's fitted to my new MO track wheels
Cosworth front brake set up going on next week (I want the current set up for project standard )

Re: My RS1800 Track car. Cosworth brakes !!
First thing this morning I changed the brakes
from these which are now on Project standard
to these
Very simple job, you just need a few washers for spacers, and they bolt straight on.
side by side.
What they look like through the wheels, calipers will be painted at a later date
Should help me stop better round Silverstone next Sunday,
also ordered up my longer wheel studs today, went to fit my new track wheels yesterday and the rears were fouling the coilover springs
and the front were rubbing the inner arches, so spacers were also ordered.
Should be here on Tuesday, so they will be fitted on Tuesday evening.
Oh, and these should be with me later next week
