jayrs :why not get a roof skin from scrappy? cut through the pillers then drill the spot welds at home? then get it put on


I think this is what I will be doing mate, I can't really justify paying £250+ for a new one :(

Be far cheaper doing it that way :wink:

http://www.fordpartsuk.com can do them for £225+ shipping, which they say would be expensive,

my local Ford dealer can get one for £250 :o :cry:

But I now have another plan in the pipeline :wink:

I'm getting Carbon Fibre roof made for the car (tbc next week) :Q

And again hopefully it will be joined by other Carbon panels in the future

so much for a "budget" track car hey :rolleyes: :lol:

11 weeks to my first track day of the year @ Castle Combe tomorrow :wink:

More progress today even though it was freezing !!

Swapped mirrors for some small race ones :wink:

Just ordered up some carbon sheet to cover where original mirrors were

More interior trim removed, probably going to ditch the carpet as well,

tomorrow I'm going to buy some paint for the interior.

Put new temp sender in, I now have a temp gauge that works. :)

Relocated boot popper into dash

Swapped front fogs/spots for another pair I had that actually work,

going to do something trick for track days with them as well :D

getting there mae and looking good.
may have to borrow that B&M off you at some point to copy it and make one up :wink:

if it wouldnt cost so much to get to tracks etc etc i would of prob used the blue xr2 or FNO shell for a track car, but funds wont allow :(

I lifted the carpet today and it was wet :( ,
its the blooody sunroof leaking, which will soon not be there :wink:
