jayrs :why not get a roof skin from scrappy? cut through the pillers then drill the spot welds at home? then get it put on
I think this is what I will be doing mate, I can't really justify paying £250+ for a new one
Be far cheaper doing it that way

http://www.fordpartsuk.com can do them for £225+ shipping, which they say would be expensive,
my local Ford dealer can get one for £250
But I now have another plan in the pipeline
Watch this space for future updates

Awesome bit of kit it is to fella
Jay, thats the first time EVER I have read you wanting to part with money
(scribbles date down )
Anyway the shortest secret it history is out,
I'm getting Carbon Fibre roof made for the car (tbc next week)
And again hopefully it will be joined by other Carbon panels in the future
so much for a "budget" track car hey
11 weeks to my first track day of the year @ Castle Combe tomorrow

Re: My New RS1800 track/road car, B&M fitted
More progress today even though it was freezing !!
Swapped mirrors for some small race ones
Just ordered up some carbon sheet to cover where original mirrors were
More interior trim removed, probably going to ditch the carpet as well,
tomorrow I'm going to buy some paint for the interior.
Put new temp sender in, I now have a temp gauge that works.
Relocated boot popper into dash
Swapped front fogs/spots for another pair I had that actually work,
going to do something trick for track days with them as well

getting there mae and looking good.
may have to borrow that B&M off you at some point to copy it and make one up
if it wouldnt cost so much to get to tracks etc etc i would of prob used the blue xr2 or FNO shell for a track car, but funds wont allow

Cheers Jay, perhaps next Winter I can take it off and you can take some measurments
Henry, I know, I know , the thing has started to snowball
But I'm going to get so much enjoyment out of it on track
I lifted the carpet today and it was wet ,
its the blooody sunroof leaking, which will soon not be there
Carpet will be out next weekend, earplugs here we come
