I'm creeping closer and closer to the magic sub 800kg mate  :P

Did 8 sessions in total, I was alot quicker on my own though  ,

passengers do show up the lack of power tbh, but I enjoy taking them round,
hope you enjoyed your few laps mate.

Got to post this pic in my thread, thanks to Mixon for taking it :Q

We were well matched in the corners, but he blasted past me on the start/finish straight :o

It started out on a budget but now, I don't care really

I know where I'm going with it so not to bothered what it costs now tbh :bonkers:

I think I have spent around £4.5k on it, but that includes bits that have not been fitted yet,

i.e. CTS stage2+ gearbox, 2.0 silver top Zetec, throttle bodies/management, brand new carbon bonnet :oooh:

Pro alloy fuel cell & adjustable lower arms which will all be done from this coming October,

other bits still to be bought will include braided fuel and brake lines, intercom :bonkers:

And the very final bit will be a freah coat of paint :aviator:

:)

Loving the project and car so far, wish I spent more time looking round it at FITP.

Just an idea to save abit more weight from the dash and bumpers..

Image

Image

..obviously there is loads more of the dash and bumpers you could cut out too, every little bit helps.

Postby Turboboy67 on Sat Jul 26, 2008 3:49 pm

First thing this morning I changed the brakes :Q

from these which are now on Project standard

Image

to these

Image

Very simple job, you just need a few washers for spacers, and they bolt straight on.

side by side.

Image

What they look like through the wheels, calipers will be painted at a later date :aviator:

Image

Should help me stop better round Silverstone next Sunday,

also ordered up my longer wheel studs today, went to fit my new track wheels yesterday and the rears were fouling the coilover springs :x

and the front were rubbing the inner arches, so spacers were also ordered.

Should be here on Tuesday, so they will be fitted on Tuesday evening. :)

Oh, and these should be with me later next week :Q :Q :Q
