I think white with the carbon bonnet, roof, and dark wheels will work great
Could even go for the frozen white (I think?) that you can get the Fiesta ST in, orrrrrrrr, the other way, be a bit daring and go for an off white? (More so than diamond white already is )

White would look good shaun, with the black wheels and carbon roof/bonnet. Satin black is what mine is inside, looks very hygenic.
If i ever get around to re-spraying mine it will be satin black with orange wheels, wing mirrors etc

Re: My RS1800 Track car, K18 UFO, Finally some progress !!!!!
Finally an update for you people
Today after a 7 week wait , my top mount plates were welded in position
This now enables me to crack on with the paint (colour, tbc ) to the engine bay,
and then the underneath & wheel arches,
The exterior bodywork will be the last thing to be done.
Also Luke and I have had some lightweight alloy front bumper brackets made, picture will follow when I collect them off Luke next weekend
So today, the car was loaded up onto my trailer and taken down to Ferndown nr. Bournemouth for the mounts to finally be welded in, they are made from 8mm steel, laser cut out
test fitted & then removed and paint was ground off where it was to be welded.
Finished thing
If anybody wants a pair of these made I can get them for £35+ postage for you
Stand by for more regular updates now I can finally progress with it

Im still waiting for mine, im such a gent I always let Shaun have the first set of everything.
If they break then, its his bumper not mine
Il chase up my mate, I know he has a jig for them now so shouldnt be too long.
If its is Il be using Shauns to "test" next weekend.
They are alloy + powder coated in satin black.

Re: My RS1800 Track car, K18 UFO, on the spit !!
Finally found some time to get the car up on the spit I bought today.
Its completely stripped now, all the underside can now be sorted.
Plan is to remove all the old underseal, do the welding needed, new underseal,
coat of paint, powdercoat all suspension parts.
Pictures from today;
Fixing bars fitted to front and rear for the spit
Car then raised up
then rotated
Few areas need attention, both sills need replacing, rear arches need replacing and rear panel needs some work.
I'm removing all the metal fixings underneath that are currently there for the fuel tank and spare wheel hanger.
You can see how much easier now it is to work on
Work will move fast now, welding will be done during next week,
then everything else will follow quickly. I've written off this year for getting it back on the road,
I do want it back on its wheels and the engine in before the end of the year.

Re: My RS1800 Track car, K18 UFO, on the spit !!
Cheers guys,
Been round tonight and stripped the majority of the underseal off
took me basically 4hrs in total, and not one piece went in my eye
so easy to work on, can't work on it now until next week due to doing other things.
Next stage is wire brush off the remaining bits of underseal (used my blowlamp to initially strip it)
Then the mig welding can begin

Gotta love a good spit roast
Out of interest, how secure are the rear mounting points bearing in mind they're a single skin and not actually attached to the chassis rails?
