k797eoo "2.1zetec turbo build"
Re: k797eoo "2.1zetec turbo build"
Started fitting crank with new bearings. stage 1 40nm stage 2 80nm, no need to renew bolts
Then fitted the crank splash gaurd and pick up, this was sourced from the old 1.8 as the 2.0 are diffrent.
These are the new babys witch are the heart of the engine, very happy with these.
And these will make sure evey thing will stay where it should
So all the pistons were fitted with a very gentle touch
Lapped valves and fitted new uprated valve springs, thanks ian howell for these and new seals were fitted. All gaskets were brought from burton power.

Re: k797eoo "2.1zetec turbo build"
All big end replaced and arp bolts fitted and tourqed too 25ftlbs, I then fitted the head, lifters, standard cams and cam belt then fitted the rocker cover and torqued it to 7nm.
A heaver flywheel was fitted as a bummer took 6mm of my old one, this was off a mk5 escort and its a direct fit! no enlargement was needed and the helix clutch was fitted. Inlet was bolted back up and torqued to 16nm. Getting closer now
The saab t3 with the custom erst with zetec flange was cleaned and got given the ok to fit.
The gearbox was stripped and repainted, gearbox mounts seem ok.
A few hours later and she was looking like this

Engine runs perfect, had a issue with mapping due to a inlet manifold leak, so I gota pop up msd so they can Finish the map was gutted.
The jack cost a fair bob it's aluminium, it's a decent upgrade from my scissor jack lol

Cool build, the Zetec conversion looks well done. Great work
Looks quality on the white Mo's
Good to see it's running well. What sort of power/torque is it running?

Been a long time since I updated, the car is now running megasquirt 3 and a cossie 4x4 turbo and will be mapped at 20psi by bailey performance in the next few weeks and the comps are now silver!
