What a lot of gay love in this thread! I like it! Image

Good luck with the project matey, I hope the engine brings you as many fun times as it did me. It'll be a little rocket! I look forward to hearing the pigeon back in action once again ;)

It won't need mapping again, a quick checkover on a good rolling road wouldn't hurt though. It's nearly two years since I last had it on my rollers, so with new oil/oil filter/fuel filter and a check-up on the rollers you should be good as new :)

The chatter is very loud and pigeon-like with that stainless intake pipe!

Just out of curiosity which type and grade of engine oil did you use in there or that you could recommend?
So the chatter echoed in the intake pipe :D cool.

I started off using a hairdryer mate but then took to jays technique of using a hammer and chissel and breaking it off in chunks which seemed far easier and much more comfortable considering how hot it was the day i was doing it. Sitting in the boot with a hairdryer running was the last thing i wanted to be doing

Anyway heres a link if you want to see the process

Thats a shame that you have lost the pics was well loving this thread..make sure you get them of the rest of the process :D
