Yes thanks mate, it was the black wire witch goes through the fusebox then out into the engine bay then into the ecu connector block, it was cut for some reason hope it wasnt alarm related.
Still got some othe electrical probs witch im not very clued up on.
No temprature gauge
No interior light when door open, but works on constant
Handbrake light wont turn off
No rear wiper
Any body got any clues, i know it can be hard without looking. cheers shaun.

Whoopsy! Yes it can be very tricky work to get power down a wire that's been snipped! This was your car originally wasn't it? Or did the previous owner snip the loom up? Glad you're getting there with a little help, even if he IS a tool thief

UPDATE
finally got most of the mechnical bits in now, i managed to get some scorpio v6 brakes the other day from my local scrappy had 3mm shimmed of the calliper bracket and had the holes larged to fit the bigger bolt then cut the bolt down so it didnt hit the disk and then ftted mocal braided flexes to complement the bigger brakes.
Here is a few pics
A pic of the front end with the protecters i had the other day
Still a bit of work to do inside the car

Hi Shaun, I'm glad you're getting closer now! I don't come on here much now, and if I do, I rarely browse the whole forum, so if you have any urgent questions, it's probably best to PM me so there's a better chance I can answer you You might remember me saying that it had started to hunt a bit on idle, literally on the last two or three occasions I ran it, when it got warm enough. I put it down to the mild blowing coming from the exhaust manifold turbo flange, I think the nuts just needed nipping up a bit. The CVH ISCVs can go a bit dicky, but I replaced mine back in 2005 when I first ran the engine, as it was a bit sticky, and didn't give me any problems after that. First port of call is the exhaust manifold though, as I said when you collected, unless you've had the inlet manifold or any hoses off and something is loose/split. I miss that chatter dearly! My stainless intake pipe made sure the chatter made an absolute racket whenever the throttle was shut!

Thanks tom
Took the car out for the first time last night, must admit its a little rocket! it was only peaking at 11 psi and felt faster than my 209bhp escort turbo ever did. still gota sort the tracking out, felt like poo to drive.

I can't remember what you had from me Shaun, did you have my intercooler and/or boost gauge? The reason I ask is that it should be peaking at 1 bar, but perhaps you have a large pressure drop through your intercooler. If you have a boost leak, however, you need to address it immediately otherwise you risk overspooling the turbo.
The ZT will feel faster than your Escort for a few reasons. Firstly, the Fiesta is probably a smidge lighter than the Escort. Secondly, the 193 bhp is a very genuine figure from my own Dyno Dynamics rolling road. There's a chance that your "209bhp" Escort was only 180 bhp or so, you never know! Thirdly, the ZT makes very good torque. Peak torque on your engine is 245 lbft! Nice long torque curve too. The turbo also has a smallish exhaust housing, meaning you don't have to tolerate much lag. I'm glad you enjoyed it, just go steady!!

Hello mate i didnt have the intercooler off you! im running a stage1 airtech front mount ive checked all hoses and i dont think there is any leaks. ive also fitted a gasket between the t3 flange to combat the blowing, it has helped with the hunting a little but the engine boost pressure does not go over 11psi still feels very quick.

Re: k797eoo restoration project "car painted"
The Airtec intercoolers are a pretty cheap piece of kit TBH, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was restricting flow heavily. What is the pre-intercooler pressure, i.e. straight off the compressor housing? Are you running an AMAL valve?

im not running a amal valve! just a pipe of the compressor housing to the actuator for now. The intercooler is suposed to be good for 200bhp do u realy think that that would restrict the air flow? how would i measure the pre intercooler pressure.

Re: k797eoo restoration project "car painted"
As I say, I stronly suspect that the Airtec cooler could be giving a pretty big pressure drop, particularly as you've bought an intercooler that they've tell you will only just about cope with the power your engine is making. Tee your boost gauge in at the compressor housing, i.e. off the hose that you have plumbed straight into the actuator. You will then know the boost pressure before the intercooler.

leaving cars is a nightmare, stay with them and there do the job,l leave it with "call when its done" and you will be left waiting

was there any particular reason you choose the 1800 over the usual 2.0?
also what kidna power does it make? or do you estimate if you aint had it roaded yet?
** Edit, lol nevermind just rereading the thread, seen its james old lump, should still have around 193horses
them new discs seem very similar to mondeo V6 ones since you had to do all the same modifications

Re: k797eoo restoration project "car painted"
Yes jony i painted the charge carrier with the wheels, i thought it turned out very well.
Did you see my next door neighbours hair after i took him in it
I got the scorpio v6 brakes and mk5 escort master cyclinder from down the local scrapyard and had 3.5mm shimmed of the carriers, total of 50 quids
I was looking to build a proper bottom end for it soon, then just a case of a simple swap over and get it checked out by msd again and maybe peak at 18psi, not sure if the turbo will handle it, but may upgrade to a hybrid, ive got plans mate. should nudge me to 220bhp and a least 260ftlbs.

Re: k797eoo restoration project "car painted"
Shaun - I wholeheartedly know exactly what you mean. I got strangely "bored" with the fact that the car didn't cause me problems. I had always enjoyed sorting out the odd minor dilema etc, but once the ZT was in, mapped, and the few minor teething problems were sorted, it was absolutely solid. Never failed to start, didn't blow up, even carried me the 300 miles to Somerset without having to fill up The turbo shouldn't really go past 16psi dude, upgrade if you want some more power. A better intercooler would help you out too, if you did find that yours is restrictive.

Re: k797eoo restoration project "car painted"
True james realy i should be buying the act gauge, the same one you had so i can screw it directly into the tapped hole on the inlet and see what is happening with those temps before upping the boost. Did you ever think about putting omex of megeasquirt on it? 220bhp would be very nice, im currently peaking at 15psi and holding on 14, was that the same amount of boost you was running to see 193bhp, dont get me wrong goes like stink! but i feel like there is more to come yet

The brake servo was off a mk5 escort you will also need the vac pipe too, unless you want to bend your old one, the master cylinder was of a mk1 mondeo as the outlets on the mondeo matched my compensators, if you got any probs with stiffness it defitanly helps
