Knocking noise when turning right

Postby butler_29 on Mon Sep 25, 2006 7:54 am

Ive got new wishbones on either side of the car. Couple of days ago when ever i do a hard turn right theres a knocking noise, like crank. Im going to do the tracking today bcoz its fcuking s**t driving it. So what can it be? probably find it out l8r when its up the ramps.

Cheers peeps.

correct CV JOINT, had it tracked. The guy said it was dry not much grease init. Is it worth getting a brand new part or a second hand on? That means ill have to get the left inner and outter and right inner and outter. Ive gotta qoute and that was £160 just for the parts.

Cheers PPPL

I had something similar to this a while back!!

Get it looked at, thats all I can say! I was getting a knock steering right, only at a particular degree as i turned.

Turned out to be the steering knuckle - the knocking stopped when the knuckle ripped the splines on a corner sending me into a verge :x

Not nice, have it looked at mate :P

Hey Butler, my car is now in the garage, Wheel Bearings had gone on mine, so its getting fixed now. Have u got yours sorted? Sounds like you need new bearings like me, or have bent something down at the front end somewhere.
