Koni 30mm Springs on a FRST

Postby Miss Fiesta Turbo on Thu Mar 15, 2007 10:57 am

This might sound like a silly question....

But i need some new rear springs as mine are f*cked!

I've been offered some Koni 30mm ones, and have been told they didnt make any difference (lowering the rear) hence why the seller is getting rid of them!

Anyone else had this? I dont want to get them if they will lower the back of my car as i'm putting 16's on and dont need it any lower!

If you put 30mm spring's on the back it will be 30mm lower then the front and he probably wanted it on it's ass so that's why it didn't look low to him but koni's are spot on so they will be 30mm lower then standard spring's If you think you might like that look then they might be ok but it could handle badly :-?

As i'm putting 16's on i dont want to lower it at all! Otherwise it'll just cause more problems!

I assume as they were only on his car for 3 days (he said) then they didnt have time to settle so probably werent much different to standard!

Thanks though... its made my mind up that i need to get standard ones for definate!

I had 16's on xr2i year's ago with a pi 35mm kit and it did rub a little bit but if you went 30mm all round and went for 195/40/r16 tyre's (which are more expencive) it shouldn't rub as long as the alloy were the right off set fiesta are ET35 i think :-? When i went over to the 195/40/r16 from the 195/45/r16 there was a big different's just in the 5mm

The chap that stuck them on his car probably didn't give them time to settle in. Other than that see J7aoc's posts as that pretty much covers the rest of what I was going to say
