If it's going into thermal shutdown after intensive use then you need to :

a) Ensure there is adequate airflow around the laptop - I know they're called laptops because they CAN sit in your lap but this often hinders airflow and results in increased internal temps. Laptops should be used on a flat and even surface wherever possible. You can buy little "lap tables" that have a bean bag underneath and platform on top for putting your laptop on your knee.

b) If you've got no air circulation problems, get in touch with the manufacturer as it's either faulty or is a design defect.

i have started putting it on a wire fruit bowl but still kept goin off ive unistalled all my games etc and a load of programs seems to run abit better so gonna reinstall games, and see if it keeps over heating if it does il take it back the shop and have them send it off

i have bought a cooling pad with a 20cm fan so that should help too but id rather have it sent of incase their is a prob before the warranty runs out as its under a year at the moment. :)

try and spray some compressed air from the vents check if they are clogged or not (if using the compressor dont give it too much power)
