Late injection?? Any ideas?

My injection seems to kick in a bit late on my XR2i it feels really slow pulling away until I hit about 4000rpm when it feels like everything starts kicking in!!
Is this normal or should it feel quicker from the start??

:(

Is there anyway I can make it so the injection kicks in a bit quicker? Tune it or whatever??

Cam & Unichip. Standard exhaust and airbox are up to the job.
