Legal sanstrip size?

Wot is the legal limit for a sunstrip on the front windscreen?? How big do u guys recommend i cut it to so that is looks good on a Mk5 Fiesta Zetec??

The legal limit, is no more than 10 cm deep, in the area where the wipers, swing.

Good idea, dont use any. Then you wont be able to see in the rain.

Or you could fit a full screen sunstrip??

If the sunstrip is lower than the level of your sunvisor when it's "down" then it'll be illegal mate.

With regards to the legal limit, as long as it is not directly in front of your line of vision it is deemed to be road legal by the MOT people, and as long as it passes that who cares!!

I read it the law was "a sunstrip must not intrude more then 40mm into the swept area of the windscreen"

to thing some rover driving (sorry Kat) git sat there in his cheap grey suit and made that up! (probably before stuffing it into his leather effecr breifcase with the gold effeect wearing off the cathes that close it)

I failed my Mot on this last year, and was told - 'The Sunstrip must not come into contact with the wiper blades unless your a taxi'.
