cheers, yeah haven't really done alot to it recently tied up with new girlfriend, dark evenings ETC but now want it finished for summer :Q .Don't need any switches to be honest, got a fog light switch on the right hand side of the remaining dash which is the only MOT requirement so its all road legal.I think ive now got OCD regarding the fiestas weight

spot on :aviator: i would love to do something like this if i had the room. you going to cut circular holes out of the inside of the doors and boot? that can save quite a bit of weight, the door handles can be trimmed down and the spoiler is unessecary weight. it all adds up lol

if your looking for a maiden track voyage for it have you considered the action day on the 19th april at castle combe?

cheers mate, the spoiler is already off,i may attack the boot but really want a fibreglass tailgate,as for the doors they will be complete gutted as soon as i get my poly carb windows with sliders so the winding mechanism is redundant. That trackday looks good but i plan to put it back on the road in april time ready for the summer, still got to build the CVH and have that dropped in,although im seriously considering selling everything off from the CVH and putting a 2 litre on twin 45's in.cheers steve

would of pulled through foor up with bolts right the way through both skins so we drilled and welded nuts into the plates and bolted through into them, also tagged the main hoop to the B pillar and front cage to above the windscreen.the cars now stiffer than a pornstar on the blue pill  ,with the gaz coilies its untouchable throught he twisties

update time with mixed emotions.
As i mentioned the last time i updated i bought a 1.8 focus which became my work horse deeming my fiesta a tracktoy/summer car, well Things went a little bit pear shaped on friday and I had an argument with a tree and i didn't win  ,cars a write off so ashblack is now my daily driver once again.I had been fairly busy before this and cracked on to finish the sound deadening removal and painted the interior matt black.Ive also removed the bonnet catch assembly and cut down and painted the cooling pipe bracket and put the bonnet on pins.Although they will be removed from this bonnet for the fibreglass item.Loads of ideas to impliment over the coming weeks mainly in the way of weight loss, and engine transplant definetly happening end of month.

cheers guys, yeah am pretty gutted about the focus as it was actually a really nice car to drive, worlds apartfrom the fiesta. Was pretty lucky came out of it fairly unscathed just a bit of bruising from the seatbelt and my ribs hurt when i breathe in.was quite a bad crash back end slid out on some mud on a bendsnaked me down the road and i hit the tree where the wing meet the passenger door and flipped me onto the roof trapping me inside.

ghost: not me fellah this is my first and *touches wood* last crash hopefully

Must be a record for oldest resurrected thread!!

Anyway, I didn't sell it, or break it...or do anything with it infact, I grew up and got a mortgage which took priority so bar starting it and occasionally moving it around its exactly as it was left, nearly 6 years ago...

Recently I decided that it has to be finished, so once I've done my track day on Monday, my R6 will be sold to free up funds for the build, I've already sourced a 2.0 Black top locally so will arrange collection of that once out of the car, I also found a escort GTI engine for sensible money to pillage sump and flywheel etc from.

I'm 99% decided it will go ZVH, utilising the heavily worked CVH head and matched inlet I have

Obviously keeping the CVH head I can run a dizzy, my only grey area is the correct ecu to run it off, the car originally is a 1.4 SI CVH/PTE engine, any help and advice with this is welcomed
