lower final drive

Postby xr2 1700 on Tue Apr 05, 2005 11:26 pm

Hallo everyone,
I am trying to find a lower final drive or complete lower gearbox for my xr2 mk1 145hp. The problem is that I am not sure if it will stand the extra power. The standard xr2 gearbox has no problem for the moment but it has 3.58:1 final drive(too long).
Any already tried solutions? (Exept from a racing gearbox of course!)
Many thanks

all the bc gearboxes are the same strength most mk3 fiesta 1.6 petrol have a 3.82 final the escort s1 turbo has a 4.06 final drive convert yours to 5 speed if its not already then decide what you want from the car then you can calulate what final drive you would need
