hiya

do you think its worth me lowering my 1.1 and if so how much as i think the car is sitting to high and it kind of looks weird

(il get some photos soon of the car when i finally get it clean)

yh i would just watch how much because things start to catch if you go too low with big wheels . Ste

If your wanting to lower it alittle the average 30/40mm drop should suit your needs but it all depends on what you want to do with your car.

right well ive looked around the forums and read that i shounldn't lower on stock shocks so can anyone advise me of some good shocks and springs for a 30mm drop ?

a cheapish pair of gmax shocks will be alright

but yeh dont lower on standard shocks they wont last long :)

mate.... As you've only got a 1.1, their isn't much point in spending much money on it (trust me, I've been there). find someone breaking their fiesta RS or XR and get the shocks and springs of them. I used to have a mk4 escort 1.3 bonus, a mate had a S2 RST and I got the suspension off him put it on mine and it made the world of difference. saving $$$$$... kow what i mean. :Q

Depends if you've got a mk3.5, im not sure suspension from the XR fits on them.

Yeah i would lower about 35mm, its a subtle mod which i like :)
