LOWERING MY SI

I HAVE A SI WITH 15" VENOMS ON AND WAS WONDERING HOW LOW I CAN LOWER IT WITHOUT ANY ARCH MODS

should be able to lower it 60mm without to much trouble.
but 40 is a safe bet.

with 45 tyres yuo'll be able to just get 30mm with slight chafage around tight corners / people in back etc.

60mm :wink: :lol:

Si's are already lower than standard Fiesta's, but not as low as 2i's or RST's. And they have no arch kit, so bear that in mind when RS owners talk about their lowered cars.

Danny Cullen! its matt here, y did u go 4 venoms! best way of telling how low to go is just do it and then sort out the scrub afterwards. Look mate, give me a bell when you want to lower it and i will sort you out ok!

I thought there was an issue with lowering si's [ERRR] of the fact there a mk 3.5 ? ? ?

Im sure i read Fiesta_fras talking about this :???:

ok buddy i have had bh1ching with lowering my si first i lowered 60mm looked the bolloxs i drove of and big time scraping ok ill get my arches rolled (no) went over a speed bump and nearly took my zorrrst of as it was low and touched the speed bump so i did not roll my arches but now have 40 mm and there is alittle scrapes but only when car is fully loaded ( 60mm plus when i turned i riped the bottom of my front wing of dont know how) :devil: :Q

Just make sure you buy shocks/springs made specifically for the Si/RS1800 (mk 3.5), not mk3!

Pi make 3.5 springs, Spax do full kits. i'm sure others do too.

So RS1800 springs will be ok on an Si then ?

The only springs i've seen for an Si give a 25mm drop where as i want 35mm

gmax do a 40 mm full drop springs and shocks for around the £200 mark not listed in booxs if not buy the shocks and get 40 mm spaxs springs :Q
