lowering on just springs on new runabout

hi i have a few things to ask for help with i want to lower my runabout xr2i replica which is a 1.3i mk3.5 with pas

i have a set of 35mm lowering springs i want to put on it but im not sure if lowering the car on just springs is a good idea? i wan the car to be safe but slightly lower

i also have a spare brand new gmax suspension kit which is 60mm and is for a mk3 not mk3.5 i know i can use the rear shocks from this and sell the 60mm springs as its to low for my new runabout

could i fit the mk3 shocks? if so what do i need? and from what car?

would it be safe on just the 35mm springs? what would i need to look out for if the shocks don't hold up when lowered on just springs?

could i lower it on just springs on the front? and use the gmax rear shocks and the springs for the rear or would it drive crap?

or should i just just go buy a new set of mk3.5 gmax shocks??

Standard shocks and lower springs is fine, as long as the shocks arent knackered
