Lowering problems

Postby ste_rich on Thu Feb 20, 2003 12:59 pm

This has probably been asked many times b4, but....

I have just lowered my 1.3 on springs by 35mm

but... it rubs like f**k!!! Its on 15's with 195/50's on, Is there anyway of getting around buying shocks or something that will be considerably cheaper cos i'm low on funds at the minute.

Looks Phat tho!!!!

Are u using spacers?? If not id recommend some 3-5mm (ur choice) spacers. (oh this is if it's rubbing on the front right?)

Using 50's wont help, you need 45's

Well it'd depend on exactly where the wheels are rubbing.

If it rubs on the outside you'll need to shave and roll your arches.

If i fit stiffer shocks will this minimise the rubbing? Any ideas on arch rolling cost wise? or if i go around this week end what sort of quotes should i be getting?

Cheers everyone!

I'd roll the arches as its better to eliminate the cause rather than work around it.

Price anything between £150-250 approx even more.

forget it then. i'm buying a 106 xs next month, so may as well "un-lower" it then.

Cheers for help anyway.
