i'm thinking of getting some side skirts to go with my rs front spoiler and 2i rear bumper but i don't want 2i arches and skirts or rs 2000 skirts.

i saw a mk5 in maxpower with m3 side skirts and it looked class!

has anyone seen any to fit a mk3?

i've seen universal ones but i dont know what the fits like.

any ideas?

Try CCM - Custom and Commercial Mouldings, in Royston, Yorks - they usually have a yellow ad with a red N**a or Fiesta in the back of Maxxy-P and FC mags, and retail for around the £110 mark.

They are, however, a universal fitment, so you will probably have to adapt them with a bit of nice, messy fibreglass.

An alternative, if you would rather have a slightly more subtle approach, is to get the skirts off the Zetec-S, which are considerably higher, but quite nice and subtle.

cheers m8,

i want something exactly like zetec-s skirt, very subtle.
it's lowered 60mm so i don't want anything to deep.

how much do you reckon they'd cost?
didn't there used to be someone on here who worked for ford?

hows the motor comin' al?

Mec - sorry for the dis-information. The company is actually called Carlton Automotive and have a yellow Cossie-kitted Mk3 van running 15" ERST wheels. The skirts are £110 for universal fitment. I don't know where they're based.

I understand Ford want around £200 per side for the skirts - £400 not including spraying! That said, skirts aren't the hardest things to spray yourself.

No-one seems to be planning to copy the Zetec-S skirts just yet as they are a bit *too* subtle.

As an idea of the way the car's coming on, I'm gonna need skirts which sit 3" lower than the bottom of the sills to match the depth of both front *and* rear bumpers!

I'm now running the Mondeo wheels on fat tyres with no scrubbage courtesy of having no arches left (I refuse to fit RS skirts and arches 'cos they won't fit the look of the car).

bloody 'ell mate, what bumpers are you running?

can't wait to see it finished! i'd love to go mad with mine but i just have'nt got the money, so i'm just building it bit by bit. i'm saving for a respray as the bodyworks looking really tatty so hopefully i can add some bits then. i've got an rs accessory front spolier and i'm thinking of blending it into the bumper and putting in some roung fogs, scooby style, what d'ya reckon, good idea or bad idea?

You've bought it now, so why not try it??? The only problem I can see is that the two bumpers are separate and therefore may move. Maybe you could take them off the car, fix 'em together, and then smooth the lines down?? High build plastic filler primer, plastic padding "elastic" variety and loadsa 600 grit paper and you'll be laughing! (Maybe...)

yeah thats what i was going to do, i reckon p40 should fill it alright though if i drill some small holes for it to grip onto.

i've found some nice sideskirts, they're part of a kit from ESP but i think you can get them seperately. they're for a mk5 but should fit.

The mk4 & 5 wings are more flared at the sill than the mk3 so they wont be a perfect fit outta the box!
