Re: M4X WW - ZT Project - IT RUNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Max M4X WW :So I seem to have fixed my two water leaks.
First off, the car didn't have a thermostat in, so I replaced the O ring and put a thermostat in but I also cut it open removing the stat. Mikey said it ran fine before, so I'm going to leave it as is for now.
The second one, the split Y thing behind the engine has been replaced with an alloy one Lee @ Fusion Fabrication made me.
I earthed the water temp gauge sender, but it still doesn't work. If I wire it directly to the dials, it does. Not sure what is going on here!
is your man at fusion making the alloy y piece for sale and car looks real nice mate its always good to hear something you work on for a while fire in to life
sounds like wiring with the temp guage if you get it working with a straight wire prob best just to tape a wire in to the loom and get it working ,oh and that is a neat dial pod i made one for the track car but its nowhere as neat as that one

I think the side repeaters work well with the black parts and bumpstrips , this is looking fantastic! that engine bay looks very neat!
I'd be interested in a 3 gauge holder if you fancy making some

Seems to, lots of stuff needs tightening and a few bits sorting. Still need to change the oil and install gauge senders.

Excellent Max. Super clean, but really needs the RS kit IMO, either that or a smaller exhaust and more standard looking wheels.

It won't be getting the RS kit and it will be getting a smaller exhaust. It's just not on my priority list at the moment and I can cut the tip off at any time.
The wheels will be staying for a bit, but they hardly cost me anything 5 years ago so that's why I got them (and they are light as you know)

Apologies, yes, reply coming!
Anyone got any ideas where I can mount my Amal valve? Everywhere looks messy! I have the WG connected directly to my intake pipe at the moment.

For those not on my facebook, I took the car round the block the other day - chatter!
I have an MOT booked Saturday, so I started fitting my Aerocatche's this evening. I've done half of one and it probably took an hour or two
I need to try and Track the car slightly, I have loads more lock turning right and the steering wheel isn't straight. I did just throw it together, so need to have a mess about.

If ends up screwed to a panel, try to get some rubber washers / bushes in because they can make a lot of noise if solid-mounted. Made mistake of hard-mounting mine to bulkhead, had to pull over after half a mile and zip-tie it to a hose, it was annoying the crap out of me !
Nothing to see here...

Cheers Andy,
MOT'd and Taxed today Do have a few problems though!
The brake pedal is very hard, IE solid, which in turn seems to be causing the brakes to work all the time. They were fine for short drives, but on the way back from the MOT you could feel the car trying to stop at junctions and the brakes were boiling. This is basically the case all round, I had all four wheels off the ground and everything was spinning freely but once there is some heat in the brakes it all goes wrong. Just been out again and its done the same.

It is yes (trackcar?), I have no idea about brake stuff really but everything was great on my white one with Cossies, standard servo and ZS drums
Does it sound like I have no servo assistance? I removed the silver thing on the front to paint the black big bit and the silver bit was corroded around the seal, I scraped it out with a knive and cleaned it up and put some grease round the seal
