Re: Mada's Purple Fiesta Mk5 - Update 05/01/11
mada i think it looks the absolute funlumps mate very nice for a mk5 and the colour is great works well with the wheels
dont worry about what people think about the badge mate as i dont see there point
the car is built as a zetec s replica so if he wanted to replica the zetec s then he would put what they have on it ie. bumpers and the like just because he has put the zetec s badge on it now people think oh no hes tryin to be a zetec s when it isnt??? well it does have the kit and many other bits
i personally love the car mate

I can understand the horror if a 1.1 is badged up as an RS Turbo, but badging it as a ZS isn't in the same league. Technically speaking, the engine in it is a Zetec-S engine, albeit a 1.25 one.

Re: Mada's Purple Fiesta Mk5 - Update 05/01/11
so started day 1 of the engine change yesterday,
here is the make shift garage
tent for the tools
then ste arrived so we got started just after 10
looked like this by 11
engine being dropped
lifting car up over engine
lowwwwww
and engine out
at this stage we stopped for lunch at 12:30 so not bad getting the engine out in 2 hours for 2 first timers!
had to be done...........
ste
and me
we then found out the new engine had ac, so we had to remove that and swap a bits over including inlet manifold to save changing the engine loom
and we left the car at 5 with the engine bolted in, just need to reconnect drive shafts and all the wiring.
roll on today

Re: Mada's Purple Fiesta Mk5 - Engine change!
Its not a 1.7. And I don't *think* its a 1.6 either, especially if he's changed over the inlet mani, as the 1.2 one would be rather restrictive...

Re: Mada's Purple Fiesta Mk5 - Engine change!
Unfourtunatly this car is no more
It developed a electrical fault where the fuse for the speedo and brake lights kelt blowing. I spent ages trying to find out why it kept blowing, then I saw the puma up for sale and bought it at a steal.
The car was broken for parts, most of the parts went to my mates purple mk4, Including all the interior and full front end as his mk4 is now a mk5 with removable front end. So in a way my car is still living but as a 5 door instead haha.
I will get a picture of how it stands at the moment ony drive awaiting to go scrap yard once it is back on all 4 wheels.
This car will be missed as it was my pride and glory but it was time to move onto something faster
