I also have never come across this thread before. I love it. The colour, the ZS kit. Just get a Puma lump in, coilovers, some decent show wheels then that's a winner. Love the interior! Awesome... :Q

the wheels make all the little kids point at the car, is kinda embarassing makes me feel wrong in so many ways............

whats up with the ride height? its at 60mm atm ahhaha, can only go down an extra 10mm but that means spending £350 that i dont have :P

and with the boot, do you mean a smooth boot? i feel like it makes the back too smooth, if i was to smooth it it would just be the wiper hole, i feel the boot handel gives it some character.

and new wheels are here when the snow goes away!

i didnt feel the wheels suit it, the spokes stuck out too much if you follow

60mm?! mk4/5 suspention has always sat high my mk4 was down 60 and was lower than this however, cut a coil off

and the boot, i dont like the gloss black handle and the wiper cap, id prefere having a wiper they look ok

but these are my opinions how they dont cause a stir :oooh:

lol shut up james

unlike your case the mk5 even on -60mm springs still sits quite high with some arch gap, so unless coilovers its cutting a spring is the only other way

Update time:

have bought a focus mk1 center console:

Image

which i then drilled a few holes into.....

Image

and cut it out

Image

and fitted my electric window switch, just need to do the other side

Image

sits nicely

Image

Now yes i am using an aftermarket electric window kit, but this is for many reasons:

1. it was £20 hahah
2. i have recovered my door cards allready and dont fancy doing it again, so will just cap where the winders used to be

also to fit into the new center console:
hard wire ipod docking cradle with aux connector and charger
and a mk6 bootpop button if it will fit where i want, if not will be going back to a mk5 one
and maybe hard wire in two usb ports for easy charging.

comments?

Great work as usual Adam, nice idea on the centre console too!! Is the mk1 focus one a straight swap then?

I'd be interested to see what modifications are needed to get the centre console to fit, apparently a fair bit of chopping is involved, however this is something I really want to do, so when you work it out can you let me know Ad?

Looking fantastic though :)

cheers guys,

from a quick look, it looks like i will need to cut the height of the console, it slopes slighty to how it fits in the focus, also the handbrake will not go fully down whilst it is in, will need to be postioned correctly so that i can change gear too  hopefully it will all pay off tho

That window swtich would annoy me. Looks great though pal. I'd prefer to have cup holders than small storage in my opinon. Amount of times my drink has spilt in the car because I have no where to put it. Well the door pocket. But you have cup holders now. HOW COOL! :Q

i have tried just pushing it down stright in and it catches on the reclining parts of the seats.

i know one of the switches isnt stright, has more character that way

i can selected 4th gear..... just

but can not put handbrake fully down yet, still need more triming or to push it down and move it around so it sits better it think.

the cup holders are funky, just recieved my iphone bits and pieces for it, so they should be going in soon hopefully

and new wheels soon

:Q looks bloody goregous mate

2 things thou

please take off the zetec s badge, i hate it when people ploy theyre car as the certain sports model when it isnt, some other zs stamps on it next to you, your going to be f**cked lol, your 1.25 wont keep up
besides the zs never come in that colour

secondly, just needs the engine it deserves to complete it now :Q

put them great brakes you have to use

Edit:

also just noticed, you have the ET35 wheels, rarer them ones :Q

sorry, but it is a bit anoying, i mean my car is practicly a RS1800 in the engine department, and has loads of RS turbo bits on it eg windows seats and arch/skirt kit

i actually have a RS1800 badge set, but i aint stuck them on branding it as one

Wheels are et35.

Didn't know a badge could kick up such a fuss!

If a zs does pull up next to me, then who cares if it goes in front, I don't drive like a 'conquering device'!
And who cares if it beats me? Doesn't prove anything.

And yea I know zs didn't come in this colour but could of resprayed it. And it is deffiently looks a lot better than a blue red black or silver zs.

I put the badge on because the boot looked too bland without anything, and it was also put on as it's a zetec s rep.
