MAF sensors

hi chaps, i've been given a MAF sensor off a mondeo turbo dieseasel, the bore of it is massive compared to the standard Si one, anyone know if it will work right on the Si engine? i know the K&N crossover pipe needs modifying(widening) to get it to fit. here's the part number: 93BB-I2B579-BA AFH60-02A.
the plug is the same.
