what about if you need a cat for the mot, are the sport cats as effective as the standard ones?

yeh if not better the honey comb metal in the cat are made of a core quality metal and warm up quickers and sound soo much better and if the emmsions are wrong just warm the car up before you arrive if the mot tester is called alan buy him a pint and your sorted :P:D:) past experience

for the record you dont need a cat per se. you just need to pass the expected emissions for your make,model and year. if they happen to have been tested while it had a cat on then its very rare that you would get it to the right level in order to pass.
