Main grommet R/H side on bulkhead
Hi
I have a J reg xr2i and I have a large grommet on bulkhead where main loom goes into car .. There are 3 holes and one of mine is empty could this be the bonnet release exit ..
Also can anybody tell me the route of the bonnet cable because mine never had one when I got it
Cheers
Steve

Mine comes out alongside the throttle cable behind the rear engine mount.
Different looms seem to use different holes in that grommet! My XR2i 16v loom has a separate small hole for the fan switch wiring, while my MK3.5 loom in my current car the fan switch wiring runs into the bulky part of the car loom behind the engine.

Hey m8 check out this thread
cookie-s-mk3-5-fiesta-rs1800-restoration-project-vt198689/
From the the 1st pic scroll down to pics 12 & 13 (painted car pics)
You see that cable which enters the engine bay under the rear engine mount (left hand rear corner of engine bay) and goes to the bonnet release.
Thats the bonnet release cable.
