Make my engine pur!

Hey all i was wonderin what everyones opinions are on how to make my engine sound alot more pleasant instead of some stupid loud "boy racer" noise im changing the exhaust so that will make a different but whats the best thing to do to the engine its a 1.6i 8 valve any good ideas would be appreciated! :Q

nice air filter and new lifters and cam will make the old cvh purr :lol: :) fit a nice big cone filter for nice big induction niose not a lot else to make it 'sound' nice :Q

My old 2i on the rollers shortly before some gammon slipper in a BMW tried to mate with it :x

It was running with an Ashley 4 branch and a custom exhaust system (non of that PowerShonk nonsense 8) ), K&N, Piper cam and vernier and some headwork
