Make seat runners extend further?

Does anyone know of a way to make standard seat runners extend further?

I've had a look at one and have seen little tabs which may have stopped then from going back more, so I removed them but it just made the runner slider bearings come out and didn't allow the runner to go back any further, so that failed :(
