Re: MANJ: Refresh
Under the Ford badge on the right hand side of the tailgate or bottom right of the rear screen........... you may need to remove some stuff first tho for that
If all the other bits and bobs are staying, bottom left of the rear screen imo chap

Re: MANJ: Refresh
a lil bit of a update after a long day in the wind and cold Armed with a cuppa and a fresh 20 deck it had come the time to get the parts out that needed flocking.after getting everything ready to pull the dash out there where some big issues wich held it up quite badly.the dash was as free as it could possibly be but still not coming out.after closer inspection i saw that some of the wiring loom was thread thro areas that ment i either had to cut the loom or cut the dash to slide the loom thro.(no not any areas tht could be seen) in the end the decision was made to cut the dash as i didnt fancy tracing wires back and trying to connect them all again .once tht drastic action was taken out came the dash.
OMG was my 1st reaction more wires and part of the loom everywhere.yes ok i didnt exspect it to be pristine but at the same time i was amazed it all fitted behind the dash.so the last 2-3 hours of my afternoon has been tidying the loom up with re-routing the loom and re-taping it up.hopefuly this will help with fitting the dash back in but also give me some peace of mind that its how'd id like it to be.
so for now its time to get hold of kev and get the flocking process started
i have got pics but crnt compress them

Re: MANJ: Refresh
Crikey, I didn't expect to see all that wiring again! Yeah it was a tight squeeze and admittedly, I could/should have routed it in a more efficient and tidy manner. This car was my first attempt at fitting a completely alien engine/box/loom/ecu into a Fiesta MK3 so obviously there will be shortcomings or areas that could be improved on.
Once I knew it worked, I was so excited about actually driving the thing that I just wanted it all back together ASAP so that I could get behind the wheel - now I'm a bit older & wiser I would have taken more time over the loom fitting. Saying that, it's still going after 5 years
Anyway, well done for tackling it and I can't wait to see how it looks with all the flocking done

Re: MANJ: Refresh
I can totally undrstand tht jimmy and like u say its still going so u obviously done a good job.its all part of the moving it on and forward and lets face it ya never going to c it.its certainly going to keep me buisy after work this week on the flocking side of things im getting in touch with kev today once i finish at work so hopefuly b sent away this week and recieve it back at some point nxt week.so give me 2weeks and it will all b back together.well thats the plan anyway.by the time its back together it should then b heading off to the painters so its all fitting in nicely so far.
Im happy with the progess at the mo so i carnt say much more than that
