MAP Sensors??

CVH and Zetec tuning, suspension and braking mods.

my FRST has a standard map sensor on it i think it's 1bar but i'm know running 17psi and was wondering if i need to change it.....<br>can anybody help please???<br><br>Dan

the FRST MAP Sensor is good for over 19Psi.

You can run as much boost as you like as long as the car has been mapped correctly.<br><br>The problem with the FRST is that the map sensor runs out of calibration at just over 1 bar - this means that the ecu can tell if you are running 1 bar or 1.5 bar.<br><br>Normally tuners make the car run quite rich over 1 bar and set the max boost on the actuator.<br><br>Ahmed Bayjoo does a mod where he fits a 2.5 bar map sensor from an escort cossie.<br><br>This only works with the early ofab ecu though.<br><br>Hope this helps<br><br>Mike
