Mark 4 Standard Unit Problem...

Postby Orta on Sun May 14, 2006 11:24 am

Ok, this mite sound a bit dumb...

I've finally gotten all my I.C.E. bits ready to all go in the car in one... two 12" subs, two amps, pair of 6x9s and sum door components and a nice Sony CD Changer... problem is I can't figure out how to get my standard stereo out!!

It's the same as the one I had in my previous Escort, but I can't for the life of me remember how. I know it has something to do with the four lil' holes on the side of the unit but after that my mind is a blank. Anyone offer any advice??

PLEASE! I can't stand listening 2 cassettes anylonger!

Cheers in advance for any help.

There are 4 holes in the front of the unit, two on each side, if the coat hanger trick wont work, pop down to Ford and part with about 50p for some stereo keys :) They'll lift it out no probs.

You should have no wiring issues either, as Mk 4 stereos all have ISO block connectors which are on all newer head units :D
