Max power for standard internals frst ?
What power can standard frst internals take without leaving the block ?
Really looking into more power but want it reliable.

Joris....
on average a std bottom end can take approx 50% more power....but dont hold me to that
If you want reliable power go to "stage1". Up the boost to around 12-13psi with a good exhaust, chip and actuator. That way the std fuelling and I/C will cope.
Dependant on car you should get between 160-170bhp....fingers crossed lol
cheers

Yeps...fezzy is right. Stage 1 chips are wicked!!! Cheap, easy to get hold of, and make a hell of a difference over a standard FRST.

Im running standard bottom end with around the 190 - 200bhp mark.
I have stage 2 head with kent fast road cam and alloy vernier, beige injectors, power engineering stage 2 chip, 16-30psi actuator, s/s system and k & n induction kit and have been running 16psi with no probs for the past year. Your best bet is to put a post up on the RSOC for Knorris3, his name is Karl, he is a master with the cvh.

is that 16psi through a std I/C ? and std turbo ?
If so the ACT's would be huge and i doubt you make 190 - 200 bhp. I have 15psi peak running through my std I/C and it aint coping. My ACT's were going off the scale!! which gives less power........fact.

Fezzy Turbo - The car was on the rolling road before i got the power engineering chip and beige injectors and was giving out 165bhp. Maybe its not 200 but it must be good 180-190 m8. Yes it is a standard intercooler and fully rebuilt turbo, but a mate of mine has a 2.1zvh and took mine for a spin and said the intercooler seemed to be very efficient and was coping well compared to most of the guys he knows with standard ones. Why what bhp would you say its pushing out considering its been r/r at 165 before the chip and beiges's? Anyhow there is a pace intercooler going in it in a couple of weeks with a nice hybrid T3 to follow. So what mods have you done and what bhp is your car giving?

you got 165bhp before putting in a chip ? how ?
you would need around 13psi to get that and your over boost protection would not let you go over 10psi un-less the car was chipped before.
How did your mate compare your I/C ? did u fit an ACT gauge ?
You could be getting around 175-180bhp....but thats just guessing, every car is different.
Getting 200bhp using a std T2, re-built or not, is very hard as it just cant shift enough air and exhaust gases. The T3 will be able to push your power up better.
Did you fit an uprated fuel pump with the Beige injectors ?
I have a std T2 and std I/c and std fueling....hitting 15psi peak holding 13psi and i get 140bhp @ wheels which is approx 165bhp....but my ACT's are huge!!

The 165bhp was achieved before i fiited the power engineering chip and beiges, but i had a stage 2 head, kent fast road cam, alloy vernier, superchip and 13psi of boost. My m8 didnt have an act gauge so dont know what the temps where but he was just judging it on what way the car reacted compared to others he had seen.
The fuel pump is standard, i was going to go for the uprated one from Amber Performance but when i got the car setup and the fuel and co adjusted, the guy told me i didnt need one as the car was getting enough fuel when he tested it fully on the road ,and it was tested to about 18psi with no pinking.
I know the T2 cant handle big power thats why im going for a T3, the T2 tails off at around 5000rpm.
I would probably say that my acts are sky high too, cant wait to get another cooler fitted, cheers IAN.
